
Donna Thaemlitz, PT

Donna started with Prairie Rehabilitation in 1999, after leaving the Twin Cities for the rural life in her husband’s hometown of Lakefield, MN. She arrived with 10 years of experience in outpatient sports/orthopedics & industrial medicine. Donna has primarily served the Lakefield and Heron Lake, MN communities. Recently, she has been working at our Jackson and Worthington, outpatient locations. She has extensive training and experience in manual therapy and geriatrics, as well as a love for orthopedics.
Originally from suburban Philadelphia, PA, Donna moved to Minnesota for her senior year, attending, and graduating from White Bear Lake High School. She then attended Hamline University in St. Paul, graduating in 1984 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. At Hamline, Donna was a 3 sport athlete, winning 10 letters between cross-country, swimming, and track. She was inducted into Hamline’s Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the national champion swim team. She went on to receive her Physical Therapy education at the Mayo School of Health Sciences in Rochester, MN, graduating in 1989.
Donna and her husband of 33 years, Kyle, make their home in Lakefield. She is active in her community, serving as a scout leader, a Sunday School teacher, and has been an EMT on the Lakefield Ambulance Service for the past 8 years. Her spouse, Kyle is a carpenter/contractor.
They have 2 adult children: Allison and Mark. Donna and Kyle keep busy with their two dogs and four cats. Together, they also spend time volunteering with Ducks Unlimited assisting with wetlands restoration and wildlife conservation.
