Tarah graduated from Lake Area Technical Institute in 2016 with an Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy. Tarah has been a therapist with Prairie Rehabilitation since 2016 and primarily works part-time at our Sioux Falls West clinic, although she also assists in treating patients who take part in our Prairie-At-Home program and those who receiving Home Health services. Prior to working at the Sioux Falls West clinic, Tarah spent two years working in the Tieszen Memorial Home skilled nursing facility in Marion, SD where she learned a great deal about geriatrics and wheelchair use. Tarah enjoys working in all settings but prefers the outpatient setting as this allows her to maximize her skills and she appreciates the challenge.
Tarah has also worked as physical fitness instructor for 10+ years and is well-versed in both cardiovascular and strength training. She has been able to carry over the knowledge and skills she acquired as a fitness instructor to the outpatient setting which has been instrumental when rehabilitating younger clients, specifically athletes.
Tarah is a wife and mother of 3 young children including her son and twin daughters. In her free time, Tarah enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, cooking, and traveling.
